I always love the week after Christmas. Feeling stuffed and exhausted from the holiday but grateful for all we have. Kids playing with all their new toys. Daddy and children home from work and school. Mommy relaxing in her new PJ’s. Making time to visit friends and family. Eating leftovers. A quiet house. A feeling of serenity and peace throughout the air. Even the dog knows it’s true. It’s like the calm after the storm.

When I was a young girl, I always remember how good the time felt between Christmas and New Years. Playing with my new toys and eating Christmas cookies. We were not allowed to have any cookies until Christmas day so there were plenty after Christmas. If we were lucky and it was extra cold or snowy were able to try our new ice skates and/or sleds. Thanks for sharing.

Michaeliene,
I never want my boys to eat any cookies till Christmas day either which insults my husband. LOL!
