Backyard Creatures

Coming from the Belleville Bloomfield area of New Jersey the worse thing I had to worry about when outside was getting mugged. Well not exactly, but least that is what I like to say now that I moved to a more rural area. Now I walk out my door and this is what I see:

This hawk landed on my deck and tried to kill my pigeon. Being Italian and from Belleville what did I do? I threw a wooden spoon at him and cursed. Thank God the pigeon survived. At least that day he did until the raccoon got him!

Or the bear who went under our deck and dragged out our poor rabbit Ippy, cage and all. Did I mention we have NO MORE outdoor animals?

Or how about the fox who comes over to entice the dog into a little game of The Fox and the Hound (Lab in our case) !

Or perhaps Uncle Buck who just stops by for some breakfast (hopefully not in my garden)!

What backyard creatures do you have in your yard?
